Marrkwell Farm surroundings Wildlife There are fantastic opportunities to view wildlife and the transition between fresh and salt water marshes.  Most of the river boundaries lie within a Site of Special Scientific Interest, where nationally important bird species can be regularly spotted, Kingfishers, Cormorants, Nightjars, Skylarks, Buzzards and Kestrels are among those that can be seen. The Looe Valley line Scenic Railways
The Tamar line is one of England's loveliest country branch lines, skirting the edge of the magnificent River Tamar and its estuary before crossing the splendid Calstock viaduct joining Devon and Cornwall. visit the Tamar Valley Line website.
